In Aquatic Science, students will engage in the scientific study of both freshwater and marine ecosystems. We’ll learn about an array of aquatic environments, including oceans, estuaries, lakes, ponds, wetlands, rivers, and streams. We’ll study dissolved solids, temperature fluctuations, plants and animals, food webs, photosynthesis, and more! Students will investigate natural and human impacts on aquatic systems, and connect to Virginia by learning about our watersheds and unique aquatic ecosystems. This class will perform labs and various hands on activities weekly. Teacher will provide all hand-outs and materials necessary for labs.
